Electronic Engineering Technician (Manhattan, NYC)
Job Description:
Work at a company specializing in musical instrument amplification and related products.
Electronic Engineering Technician is responsible for building, testing, and repairing operational and experimental electronics, circuitry, and equipment adhering to company guidelines.
Successful candidate should:
-Have a high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in the field; Associate degree in electrical engineering preferred.
-Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field, and capable to use hand tools, electronic test equipment, and computer software tools according to company guidelines.
-Be able to work under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
-Have excellent hand soldering skills and be proficient in reading schematics and diagrams.
Specific tasks include:
Performing repairs on the component level on all products and test equipment.
Factory specification compliance testing on all products.
Managing repair records and the repair queue to ensure timely repair and accurate tracking.
Assisting assemblers with technical issues, and updating assembly procedures as needed.
Assisting in the creation and maintenance of design documents, and using design documents to build working prototypes.
