The NBC Interactive Media Product Development group is looking to fill 3 intern positions based in NYC for the summer term. See below for descriptions of each position and indicate which one you are interested when submitting your resume.
iTV Product Development Intern
Candidates will have the unique opportunity to learn firsthand about
how interactivity is incorporated into broadcast/cable environments,
as well as have exposure to interactivity on cable/satellite/iptv settop boxes,
synchronous web, and DVR platforms. Knowledge of programming and comfort with technology is required, although position is not limited to coding. Experience with Flash
and/or Java a plus.
Mobile Product Development Intern
Candidates will be involved in technical projects that will give them exposure to SMS, MMS, WAP, Mobile Downloadable Applications, and mobile videos. Knowledge of general mobile technology and interest in mobile devices is required. Experience with wireless network architecture and mobile video transcoding a plus.
iTV Production Intern
Intern will work closely with Senior Technical Producers. This part of the group is responsible for the successful On-Air production of interactive products across NBC Universal. Responsibilities include SMS testing, editorial proofing, research, reporting and campaign tracking. Television, Web, and Mobile knowledge are a plus.
All Candidates must posses the following:
* Be a self-starter who can complete a project with minimal direction
* Excellent Organizational skills
* Strong oral communication and presentation skills
* Work well in a team environment
Interns are expected to work a minimum of 16 hours per week and are
paid on an hourly rate.

About the Interactive Media Product Development (IMPD) Group:
The IMPD Group within the TGC (Technical Growth Center) is tasked with
assisting networks within NBC/Universal (NBC, Bravo, USA, SciFi,
Telmundo) in creating compelling and profitable iTV/Mobile products in order to grow
revenue and make our content more resistant to time-shifting (DVR /
PVR / VCR). This group creates interactive content for mobile phones, web
browsers, and settop boxes.
