Digital Media Intern

Department: Digital Media
Status: Temporary Paid Internship

Responsibilities

MSI is developing a variety of games and digital experiences that extend the experience of our exhibits outside of the building to users everywhere. These digital projects exist in several forms and platforms, including online, mobile, location-based, socially-driven, and teacher-facilitated. All of these interactives and games have discrete learning goals and are designed for specific audiences.

The digital media intern will assist in all parts of the development process as needed, including research, conceptual development, content development, prototype testing, and evaluation. This may involve maintaining or creating new content for existing games. The intern may also participate in other department projects, such as helping to develop youth programs involving digital media or coordinating the 2013 Games Summit.

  • Must be able to collaborate creatively in a group— to generate and articulate concepts, take and give feedback, think big and outside of the box.
