By building tools that work with the cloud, we make it possible for developers to focus on the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of app invention while we take care of the ‘how.’ They make playing with APIs simple, and implementing otherwise time-consuming and technically difficult processes (like handling authentication) nearly automagical. We’re looking for a creative, talented Web Developer to help us push the envelope of interface design and implement elegant, intuitive web applications. Your specific technical skill-set is less important to us than your all-around intelligence, problem-solving ability, and eagerness for new challenges.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Using your technical chops, design sense, and creativity to build web apps that make developers’ lives easier.
• Applying yourself to a broad range of UX, software architecture, and implementation challenges: if your interests span artistic expression, NoSQL databases, and new AJAX toolkits, this is the place for you.
• Working with a multifaceted team to create innovative solutions that surprise, delight, and surpass user expectations.
• Participating in the full SDLC, from writing specs to researching new technologies, implementing rich web apps, testing, and releasing projects.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
• 5+ years of experience developing rich, dynamic web apps that simply feel magical.
• Knowledge of responsive design.
• Experience with agile methods.
• Experience with object-oriented architecture and design patterns.
• A tinkerer – strong interest in programmable hardware e.g., Arduino.
• The ability to work in a team or independently.
• A willingness to learn and use new technologies, strategies, tools, and components.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Bonus points for: experience with PHP 5, Java, HBase, jQuery, arduino and a quick sense of humor. We also need a bass player, please let us know if you can jam!
