Seeking Big Ideas to Build a 21st-century Production Economy
NYCEDC is seeking Proposals for services to transform the City’s production ecosystem. These services, ranging from a new advanced manufacturing center to a virtual incubator, will become a part of Futureworks NYC – a network of NYCEDC-supported production resources. Futureworks NYC aims to support the development of advanced manufacturing technology, its use by researchers and entrepreneurs, and adoption by manufacturing businesses.
The Services will collectively drive advance manufacturing technology development and dissemination in NYC. Through this RFP, NYCEDC seeks to:
- Create a world-class center dedicated to the field of advanced manufacturing
- Develop services to support the City’s researchers, technologists, entrepreneurs, and businesses
- Catalyze growth through affordable access to production tools, technologies, and business support
- Drive the development of technology that will lead to the formation and expansion of production-oriented companies in the City
- Attract companies with high-growth-potential disciplines
- Connect, complement, and build on the capabilities of the City’s existing business community, institutions and production landscape
- Expand the City’s production sector and contribute to overall economic growth

NYCEDC will host an optional information session at 110 William Street, New York, NY 10038, 6th Floor Reception on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 11:00 am. All visitors must go to 6th floor reception. All potential Respondents are strongly encouraged to attend.

The RFP is also available for in-person pick-up between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at NYCEDC, 110 William Street, 6th floor, New York, NY (between Fulton and John Streets). Please be aware that all potential updates and notifications will be sent via email to respondents who have accurately and completely filled out the download form or have picked up the relevant documentation.
