OMNISPECTIVE MANAGEMENT/CENTRAL PARK SOUTH ASSOCIATES (CPSA)
COMPANY DESCRIPTION AND ROLE OF THE REAL ESTATE TECHNOLOGY INTERN
Omnispective Management is the internal management arm of a 70 year old real estate company in
New York City. Central Park South Associates (CPSA) is an affiliate that manages 240 Central Park
South (240 CPS), a landmark pre-war rental apartment building on Columbus Circle. 240 CPS has
more than 300 Luxury apartments, seven shops and cafes and a world class restaurant, Marea. 240
Central Park South underwent a comprehensive restoration in the 2000’s and is a NYC Landmark.
The Real Estate Technology Intern will report to Omnispective Management’s Managing Vice
President to ensure seamless communication and access to the current management team and
software platforms. The Intern will interface with the CPSA management team and support efforts
to develop training modules for the team. The Intern will also work with the Managing Vice
President to evaluate new Real Estate Technology opportunities and play a lead role in reporting on
the current management’s technology use and on present and future opportunities.
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE REAL ESTATE TECHNOLOGY INTERN
The Real Estate Technology Intern is a temporary full-time position that complements the existing
management team. Under the direction of the Managing Vice President, Real Estate Technology
Intern will be responsible for investigating the day-to-day logistics of planning, implementing and
evaluating the management team’s software use. The Real Estate Technology Intern will primarily
focus their efforts in the following three areas: 1) reviewing and reporting on current real estate
technology use; 2) proposing and testing solutions for improving operations and deployment of
existing tools; and 3) creating website templates and providing training on their editing and
administration
Anticipated duties and activities of the Real Estate Technology Intern will include:
Conducting a full review of the company’s current real estate technology use, focusing on
the management software programs and online presence
Surveying the functionality and potential for improved integration within the company’s
current programs and online presence
Surveying the functionality and potential for improved integration of competing software
solutions
Creating a series of proposals for improved technology use through changing behaviors,
procedures, programs, or designs
Creating a testing program for proposed solutions
Creating a training program for accepted solutions
Supporting the execution of newly integrated solutions
Collaborating with the management team to identify promising future technologies
Creating new website templates optimized for mobile users
Ensuring staff is trained in editing and administration of website templates
Supporting efforts to prepare timely and accurate reports to ownership
All activities will require interaction with the CPSA management team. The Real Estate Technology
Intern will report to the Managing Vice President.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The optimal candidate will possess the following skills and/or experience:
Excellent computer skills
Property management or similar real estate experience
Software or website development and/or testing experience
Experience preparing and submitting timely project reports
Exposure to relevant coursework, conferences and/or professional events
Working understanding of program evaluation and data collection concepts
Organized and accountable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
DATES AND COMPENSATION
The Real Estate Technology Intern is a temporary full-time position with a negotiable starting date
in May or June of 2016 and ending in August or September of 2016.
Compensation will be offered at an hourly rate based on the candidate’s level of qualifications and
skills.
