Manager, Digital Analytics and Marketing
BioLite is looking for a curious, creative, and data-driven problem solver to join our team to head
up our analytics. Situated within the Marketing Department, you will work closely across our
sales, operations, and marketing teams to identify metrics and patterns that uncover the efficacy
of key initiatives and inform future hypotheses. Your work will be central to creating a healthy
online sales channel for our outdoor line which, in turn, helps fulfill our promise of bringing
affordable energy everywhere to those who need it most.
Location: Brooklyn, NY, USA
Start Date: ASAP
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Compensation: Competitive with a full benefits program including healthcare, tech stipend,
adventure sabbatical, and access to outdoor industry professional deals.
What will I be doing?
The Manager of Digital Analytics and Marketing will provide ongoing insights, analyses, and
strategic perspectives on the core marketing initiatives surrounding BioLite’s website and online
store (www.BioLiteEnergy.com). You are on the constant pursuit of bringing customers in and
through the site and you will manage a team of expert vendors to help undertake key growth
and conversion projects – they will do the heavy lifting, but it’s your job to define the KPIs by
which to measure their success. Beyond crunching numbers you know what numbers to crunch:
you will be setting up dashboards that help the team identify meaningful metrics vs vanity
distractions. You are a part-time analyst but a full-time storyteller: you can turn raw data into
insightful conclusions and are ready to help us understand what’s going on inside and around
the BioLite website.
Key activities will include
• Multi-attribution modeling
• Visitor Flow Analysis and Event Tracking
• Customer Value Analysis and Segmentation
• Dashboard development for weekly sales meeting
• Trend analysis in SKU purchasing patterns, seasonality, etc
• A/B Testing in collaboration with marketing team
• Managing SEO, SEM, and WebDev agency partners
• Light site maintenance: the entire marketing team shares responsibility in upkeep of the
site and you’ll have some designated tasks as part of that.
Key requirements
• 3-5 years experience in e-commerce or digital analytics
• Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics and 3rd party BI Tools
• Ability to build dashboards from scratch
• Ability to identify development support needs for proper analytics tracking
• Experience reporting data to senior stakeholders in a concise and visual manner
• Comfortable providing strategic recommendations backed by data
• Proactive, curious, autonomous – but you also love to work on a team and know when to
ask for help when necessary.
• Basic HTML and SQL capabilities a major plus
• Startup mentality – ready to wear a few hats and pitch in as necessary
• Positive attitude and a sense of humor
