We are looking for support with frontend / web development of our educational technology platform MindHive. MindHive is an NSF- and NIMH-funded platform that is used by high schools across the country to support students in designing and conducting their own research projects within the context of an online network of schools, community organizations, and science mentors.
As we are entering the dissemination year of one of our NSF grants, we are looking for a person or team that can help us get the program, informational website and platform tools in a place where we feel proud to tell the world about it and where educators can start using our content and technology out of the box.
The work will mostly entail collaborating with our lead developer and UX designer on web design and UX fixes (based on design needs from a platform audit and UX interviews), but may also include more comprehensive UX design projects (e.g., (re)designing canvases where students can generate proposals and where teachers can assemble curriculum & content; designing our survey builder; etc).
