I’m CJ, co-founder of Third Wave. We’re a startup building big-screen social gaming experiences for bars, theaters, and other spaces where crowds gather. Our platform lets groups of people play games on a shared screen using their phones as controllers. Here’s a quick look at a recent playtest.
We’re launching a pilot at a bar in the NY area this fall and are looking for a few folks to help out during game nights. The core of the role is just:
– Observe how people play and how the experience goes down
– Report back what’s working and what isn’t so we can iterate
Secondary to that, we’d want their help building word of mouth for the pilot and maybe filming the occasional reaction interview with folks onsite.
This is paid work, flexible hours, and a chance to see a live product get shaped by real player feedback night to night. It would suit someone with a game design, game development, or interactive media background who’s a sharp, attentive observer and comfortable interacting with a room full of strangers.
