AS220 Community Studios Shop Lead (10-12 hours/week)
The Community Studios Shop Lead is responsible for facilitating and overseeing proper use of the space and equipment during their shifts during public hours (Fridays and Saturdays, 10 AM – 8 PM), including verifying that members are certified on specific equipment before use. They will be available to assist users of the space by answering general questions and helping troubleshoot issues. Through their extensive knowledge of tools and equipment in one or more of our maker areas, the Shop Lead will be able to diagnose and report on maintenance issues, as well as monitoring parts and consumables levels.
The ideal candidate will have experience in our following maker areas: screenprinting, woodshop, fabrication (laser cutter, vinyl cutter, vacuum former, CNC).
In addition, Shop Leads will lead free introductory classes called CLUB220s.
