JOB: ESL teaching position in Japan

From ITP Alumna Suna Kang …

My husband and I own a small English conversation school in surburb of Tokyo  and looking for an ESL female teacher who can start teaching in Summer 2011. We would appreciate if you let your students know about the teaching position we have. I think that some ITP students would really love the opportunity to live and work in Japan. 1 Full-time teaching position starting August 2011 in Makuhari Baytown (about 30-40 minutes away by train from Tokyo), Japan

We are a small English conversation school and currently looking for an enthusiastic FEMALE teacher who enjoys the rewards of teaching and is interested in the Japanese experience. You will be teaching mainly children, as well as a few adult classes. You must be comfortable with kids.

WANTED: FEMALE Native English speaker to teach conversational/basic English for 1 year.

Dates: August 2011- August 2012.

Salary: The monthly starting salary is 230,000 yen (regardless of postgraduate degrees) for a 6-day(Mon-Sat), 28 teaching hours per week.

Housing: Private apartment furnished to Japanese standards with subsidized rent (55,000 yen/month). Key money and deposit paid by the school. Our stuff apartment is located in 10 minutes bike ride from the school.

Round-trip air fare provided. Visa sponsorship. Contract renewable.

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree required. Comfortable working with children. No Japanese language ability required. Teaching experience is beneficial but not necessary.
