INTERN: Aviary, creative apps for web and mobile

Aviary is a pioneering and leading provider of creative apps for web and mobile. Our goal is to power the world’s creativity, and with our suite of online digital creation software and a powerful set of API’s, we’re well on our way. We’re a highly creative and fast-paced company, made up of the best and brightest in the industry, and we’re passionate from the inside out about building and changing the medium within which we spend most of our free time. Because we’re a small company (currently about 20 employees), each member of our team plays a vital role in everything we create. (Also, because we’re a startup, we have video games and a pool table.)

We’re looking for a talented ITP student or recent grad who’s interested in getting involved in the world of new media and startups. You’ll be a great fit if you spend your free time redesigning websites, creating fun (or funny!) apps from scratch, or just generally coming up with interactive solutions for people’s problems. In other words, you’re self-motivating, creative, clever, and interesting – and you feel most at home in front of a keyboard. Ideally, you’re a hacker with a background in design or engineering, and you’re bursting with ideas for how to improve people’s modes of creativity.

Our ideal intern:

• Is knowledgeable in javascript, html, and css
• Has experience creating great user interactions
• Is active on social media sites and uses cloud-based tools whenever possible
• Has an impressive, diverse portfolio of past work
