The selected candidate will be part of the Interaction Design Group and
will create and develop physical and digital user interface design
solutions for current and future appliances, from initial concept through
production in the Electrolux consumer product areas Fabric care, Dish care,
Food Preservation and Food Preparation.

Creativity
• Provide creative input and design solutions that contribute to the
success of Electrolux.
• Implement Brand Design values (Brand and Product identity) to Interaction
designs.
• Dare to innovate, propose new solutions challenging the existing ones.
• Take a forward outlook towards product and market opportunities.
• Interpret and apply new technologies to interaction designs.
• Convert marketing guidelines into interaction designs.
• Participate in concept development.

Customer Focus
• Strive for best-in class design solutions to meet or exceed the needs of
internal and external customers.
• Active involvement throughout the entire interface development process
from end user needs and idea-generation to implementation, with constant
and unique overview of all product areas.
• Incorporate human factors’ engineering and exterior product aesthetics
into product’s functional requirements and electronics.
• Constant and active cooperation with other departments within the
Electrolux group.

Problem Solving
• Balance the relationship between product properties, design elements,
business goals, marketing directions, engineering pre-requisites, consumer
trends, technology and environmental issues.
• Meet internal and external deadlines according to project planning.
• Ensure constant high quality of the design output.

Competencies needed
Minimum Qualifications
• Masters Degree in Interaction Design or Bachelor/Master Degree in Product
Design with at least 2 years of working experience as an Interaction
Designer or Bachelor/Master degree in Multimedia design. Alternatively,
Cognitive Science/Psychology background.
• 2-5 years of Interaction Design work experience.

Design Skills
• Excellent visualization skills.
• Ability to develop content navigation and interaction prototypes through
process flowcharts, matrixes, diagrams and other documentation.
• Ability to create user scenarios, layouts and all other aspects of the
user interface.
• Professional working experience in developing graphical user interfaces
(GUIs), and knowledge and/or interest in embedded user interfaces and its
technology.
• Sufficient level of graphic design skills needed for the development of
GUIs.
• Highly developed computer design skills (Macromedia Flash (action
scripts, animation), Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop and other relevant
design software), Microsoft PowerPoint, Rhinoceros.
• Aptitude for SW engineering, electronics development and market inputs.
• Ability to create user interfaces based on human factors and ergonomics
principles, end-user needs perspective.

impact on the business.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to present ideas and goals
effectively.
• Initiative, creativity and ability to cooperate with other disciplines.

Languages
• Fluency in English. Other European languages are a benefit.

The positions are 2: one is based in Stockholm, Sweden and the other in
Porcia, PN, Italy.
