Position Summary:

The Information Architect/Interaction Designer (IA) is a key contributo=
r to defining, developing and visualizing the user interface for a variety o=
f interactive products for our clients. You will work collaboratively with A=
ccount Management, Creative, and Technical team members—from concept t=
hrough design development and production—to formulate a strategic, hig=
hly usable and technically feasible design solution. Must work well in a sma=
ll team environment with smart, opinionated people who love their work.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide recommendations for the best possibl=
e user experience.

Define and document specifications and requirements for=
UI designs (personas, site task flows, site maps information architecture, =
screen inventory, and page wireframes).
=20
Support heuristic evaluations and other usability testi=
ng activities.
=20
Analyze user, customer, and business needs to help defi=
ne website/application requirements.
=20
Work with standards/best practices for design usability=
and responding to usability testing.
=20
Consult with internal and external teams to ensure desi=
gns are understood, implemented, and communicated accordingly.
=




Skills & Requirements:

Understanding of usability best practices on=
line;
=
=20
Experience writing, evaluating and documenting UI, func=
tional specifications.
=20
Excellent communication skills, good organization, time=
management, and attention to detail.
=20
Comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and the =
ability to accomplish tasks with or without supervision on a number of concu=
rrent projects.
=20
Understanding of web technical constraints that affect =
UI interaction design.
=20
Understanding of technical aspects of navigation, requi=
rements, users needs and best practices.
=20
Ability to conceptualize UI design to meet needs and re=
quirements.
=20
Ability to draft, create and refine personas, site task=
flows, site maps information architecture, screen inventory, and page wiref=
rames.

Ability to facilitate and conduct usability testing.=20
4+ years of experience focused website/application deve=
lopment
=20
Proficiency in Word, Visio and/or Illustrator or OmniGr=
affle
=
