Position Description

We are seeking a User Interface Engineer to help design, develop and
support large multiple enterprise-level applications. The successful
candidate must be able to work under tight deadlines and work in close
collaboration with others, manage individual workload efficiently and
effectively, and must have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities will include:

* Work with development team and designers to implement web interfaces
* Translate wireframes into semantic markup
* Support UI enhancements for existing applications
* Develop UI solutions for new applications
* Optimize pages for smaller file size
* Implement web standards
* Help resolve daily cross-browser incompatibility issues and
other interface bugs

Expected Background

* BA/BFA in Design, BS in Computer Science or related area or
relevant work experience
* Minimum of 2 years experience in web development and
presentation layer design and coding within a cross disciplinary
environment
* Demonstrated implementation of a UI toolkit (YUI [preferred],
Dojo, JQuery, etc.)
* Must be able to hand-code XHTML, CSS2 and Javascript
* In-Depth knowledge of Web Standards and trends (508 compliance,
progressive enhancement, SEO)
* In-Depth knowledge of the browser box model and cross-browser
incompatibilities
* In-Depth knowledge of the document object model
* Working knowledge of object oriented JavaScript
* Experience with Adobe Photoshop, ASP.NET , C# or Flash a plus
* Knowledge of the full development life cycle from requirements to launch
* Experience in Agile methods such as Scrum and XP is a plus
