advocates for the Association's policies and positions on federal legis=
lative
and regulatory issues that influence animal and human health, and those tha=

influence or advance the veterinary medical profession.

As part of our communications team, this =

position will primarily be responsible for coordinating the AVMA Congressio=
nal
Advocacy Network & other grassroots efforts in support of the GRD.=A0 We are seeking a technically savvy individual
to interact with & recruit members & other stakeholders to the Netw=
ork,
& to assist in identifying & developing other multimedia & soci=
al
networking tools in order to advance the grassroots advocacy efforts of the
Association.=A0

BS/BA in Political Science, Communications or a rela=
ted
field is required.=A0 Must have 1-3 years
experience in grassroots advocacy, & demonstrated involvement with
grassroots advocacy networks & experience with grassroots e-advocacy
systems (Cap Wiz XC preferred). Must have exceptional written & verbal =
communications
& presentation skills, along with knowledge of traditional & new me=
dia
including social networks & web multimedia. Strong computer skills
including database experience a must.=A0
