Position Opening:

Media and Technology Manager for The Kitchen

The Kitche=
n seeks a Media and Technology Manager to manage The Kitchen=92s
network/servers, website, computers, databases, phon=
e system, and
audio/visual equipment, whi=
le also providing technical support to artists
and staff.

*Primary responsibilities include:* managing and maintaining net=
work servers
(Windows Server 2003) and wo=
rkstations (primarily PC with a few Macs),
printers, and other peripheral equipment. The Media and Technology Manager=

also identifies and resolves computer pr=
oblems, monitors and maintains IT
infrast=
ructure integrity, enforces security policies, ensures accurate
nightly backups, provides input on operational proces=
ses and procedures,
researches and superv=
ises the purchase of new technology acquisitions, and
maintains an inventory of computer hardware, software, and A/V =
equipment.
The Media and Technology Manag=
er updates and maintains The Kitchen=92s
=
website, working directly with the marketing and development team to createemail marketing material and to maintain =
the organization=92s Raiser=92s Edge
data=
base. In addition, the Media and Technology Manager provides support to
staff, interns and artists with day-to-day co=
mputer problems; assists the
curators wit=
h preparing video materials for exhibitions or performances when
necessary; and works closely with a part-time archiv=
ist with ongoing
projects, including the =
maintenance of the in-house archive and dubbing
performance documentation for artists and staff.

The Media and Technology =
Manager works closely with all staff, but
especially with the curators and the technical director on artistic project=
s
and reports directly to the Associate D=
irector.

*Qualifications: *
Recent graduates a=
re encouraged to apply. Candidates must have experience
with Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems; knowledge of Wi=
ndows Server
and Exchange, E-mail protoco=
ls and configuration (IMAP, POP3, spam
fi=
ltering), WiFi, and network communications (TCP/IP, DHCP); experience in
hardware/software troubleshooting and in pro=
viding hands-on training; be
comfortable =
assisting with the set-up of A/V equipment. Working knowledge of
HTML, mySQL, FinalCut Pro, DVD Studio Pro and Adobe =
Creative Suite, and
Raisers Edge a plus.
