JOB: web designer for writer

Hel=
lo! I’m a personal essayist and dating blogger for Marie Claire. I’m looking=
for someone to design a personal web site for me (and to also tell me what =
I need to know to keep it updated on my own). In general, I’d like the =
site to look sleek, simple and elegant without being cold. I want it to=
to be easy to navigate and for me to upkeep myself.

TIMING:

I’d like to get this done some time in the next few week=
s, ideally, since my literary agent will soon be sending my first novel out =
to editors, in the hopes someone will buy it for publication (!), and I’d li=
ke to be able to direct the editors to my site.

DETAILS:
I have about 20-30 personal essays that I’d =
like to link to on the site; maybe 3-4 would have to be made available in so=
me kind of PDF form–although I don’t think I know how to make a PDF so that=
might be another thing you’d have to walk me through.

I like the way a friend of mine has his articles page set up:&nbsp=
;http://teddywayne.com/ar=
ticles.html. I think the icons are perhaps more inviting than a hyperlin=
k might be.
I’d also like to link to the hom=
e page for my blog. Other than that, I think things will be pretty simple– =
a bio page and contact info page.
I’d als=
o like for the person who’d be working on this to take care of domain procur=
ement; I do have pages on Weebly and Blogger that I’ve signed up for, a=
lthough I’ve done almost nothing with them.
MAKING IT HAPPEN
I hope we can do it over email =
and phone.
COST
Please tell me what=
you charge!
Thanks so much! I look forward to hear=
ing from you.
