The Technical Project Manager at Purpose is the primary=20
coordinator in charge of moving projects from inception to launch. With a
focus on scheduling and resource allotment, it is the PM=92s goal to=20
ensure that both internal and client facing expectations are set=20
appropriately and updated when changes occur in the schedule.
The candidate will provide support for all aspects of the project=20
lifecycle:
Definition: Work with strategist to define clients=
=92
needs and determine project scope and goals.Design: Develop business and functional=20
requirements and obtain appropriate approvals. =A0Set up initial project=20
plan with milestones, tasks, duration and dependencies. =A0Work with=20
management to determine priorities and assign resources. =A0Define project
risks and contingencies.Build: Monitor progress =
of software development;=20
identify issues and their resolution.Testing: Dev=
elop test plan, business cases, test=20
scripts and success criteria. =A0Monitor unit, systems and integration=20
testing. =A0Manage UAT (User Acceptance Testing) coordinate actual=20
testing; maintain bug lists and their resolution through to retesting.=20
=A0Obtain sign off.Implementation: Provide final =
quality assurance and
release schedule. =A0Manage future enhancements and version control.
In addition, the candidate will manage overall project=20
administration:
Develop and manage project plans.Define and implement a co=
mmunications plan for each project.Manage scope creep and provide m=
anagement its effect on=20
implementation.Run project status and issues meetings, including m=
eeting minutes.Provide status reports to management and clients.Perform stakeholder analysis, as necessary.Monitor and provid=
e quality assurance to all SDLC (Software=20
Development Lifecycle) documentation.Develop best practices and to=
ols for project execution and=20
management.
Skills/Attributes:
Minimum 3 years of project management delivering client Web-based=
=20
applications. =A0We are not looking for the coder or BA with some project=
=20
management experience. =A0The candidate must have demonstrated successful=
=20
completion of several short and long duration projects as the primary=20
project manager.Self-starter. =A0This is a new function in a new c=
ompany. =A0The=20
candidate must be able to define his/her role, develop the project=20
management mindset for the firm and be flexible to meet the ever=20
changing needs.Team leader. =A0The candidate must work with the st=
aff to obtain their
trust and motivate them to complete the projects=92 goals without=20
constant directing.Bachelor=92s Degree or higher in Technology or =
related field to have a
good understanding of Web development.Knowledge of SDLC.=
Expertise in MS Project or equivalent.Knowledge of Mac environment.=
PMI certification or Prince2 is desirable.
