NYU visiting artists caraballo-farman are looking for an assistant on a 3D modeling project. The project consists of very organic, gnarly biological forms that will be RP’d at a large scale with a powder printer. For this, we need the objects hollowed out, with a hole to empty the powder through.
Candidate would have to have good knowledge of an advanced 3D modelling program (we work in Maya).
Estimated time: aprox 6 hours a week, three weeks.
Internship w/ possible pay depending on experience.

caraballo-farman is a two-person team composed of Leonor Caraballo (born: Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Abou Farman (born: Tehran, Iran) based in NY and collaborating in video, installation and photography. Their work has been shown around the world in galleries and museums (eg. The Tate Modern, PS1/MOMA, Havana Biennial, Artists Space, LAXART and Museo del Barrio) and has been supported by several grants and residencies, including a 2010 Guggenheim Fellowship, a Canada Council grant, The NY Community Trust, Art Omi and Eyebeam Art and Technology Center.
