SMITH MAG SEEKS ART & DESIGN INTERN
SMITH Magazine (smithmag.net), an online storytelling community best known for the Six-Word Memoir project (sixwordmemoirs.com), is looking for a design intern. You’ll be doing things as un-glamorous and basic as updating our media kit and other company materials. If you’re psyched, motivated and in sync with what SMITH Magazine is all about, you could be working on things as cool as creating artful presentations of Six-Word Memoirs, designing T-shirts, and working on invite and on-site visuals for live events.
Requirements: In-Design & PowerPoint (both a must); WordPress (not required by recommended); a calm, flexible demeanor.
The ideal candidate is a student or recent grad who can work 5 hours a week either virtually or in our very fun Manhattan office (near Union Square) for a minimum of three months. You need to be smart, creative, self-motivated, professional, and have a passion for storytelling. The well intentioned but ultimately flaky should not apply.
