Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am writing about an exciting opportunity to help build
community — literally from the ground up — through
access to digital media services and programs.
Manhattan Neighborhood Network, the largest public media
center in NYC, is seeking an experienced media
professional to manage a new state-of-the-art Upper
Manhattan Community Media & Broadcast facility.
See http://firehouse.mnn.org/
Located in the historic El Barrio-East Harlem community,
the new Community Media & Broadcast Center will
consist of three HD broadcast studios as well as editing
and classroom facilities. MNN’s Youth Channel will also
be stationed there. The five-story, 10,000 sq. foot
building is slated to open in spring 2011.
The Firehouse Director position is a unique opportunity
for a dynamic and visionary individual to help break the
digital divide, impact public debate, train the next
generation of media makers and empower communities
through access to digital technology.
To apply to the position, please go to MNN’s job posting

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
