ILISO LABANTU seeks web developer/social media intern:
Five years ago, a group of photographers from the townships around Cape Town, South Africa started training and working together. Several times a year we descend on a neighborhood and photograph from sunrise Friday morning to sunset Saturday evening. On Sunday we hang the work in the streets where we shot.
Our group, Iliso Labantu, has a core of about 12 photographers and we are starting a new round of training with an additional 20 photographers. The body of work is incredible and we are now working on a retrospective book and exhibition.
We sell out prints and greeting cards in galleries throughout South Africa and we have started exhibiting worldwide with two exhibitions in Germany and one in Dubai this summer.
We are looking for an intern to help us develop the website and a social marketing campaign. Sue Johnson, co-founder (and ITP alum) is based in NYC and the work would be done here. Please contact sue@suejaye.com
