Small technology startup based in New York seeks a Web Designer to join our growing team.
We are a web-based management and communication system serving small companies.
Should Have Technical Skills for Web Designer:
- A portfolio that demonstrates creative visual design skills and understanding of modern interaction design.
- Adobe CS
- HTML / CSS / JAVASCRIPT / JQUERY / AJAX / PHP
- Excellent communication, both on- and off-screen
- Capacity to deliver pixel-perfect prototypes, ideally in code
- Understanding of standard design tools, HTML/CSS best practices, and web standards
Technical Pluses for Web Designer:
- Ability to work closely with developers and turn complex technology into a simple, beautiful, and intuitive user experience
- Experience designing advanced web products that users love
- Knowledge of older web technologies and willingness to occasionally patch old nested tables
- CSS frameworks
- WordPress
- Classic ASP
- Flash Action Script
- Basic SQL skills (MySQL, MS SQL Server)
- Background in Website/App Testing
