Immediately seeking a mid-level and a senior Freelance User Experience designer to work on various projects with some extremely small and interesting design studios. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of design principles and a proven ability solving design problems.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to analyze user needs
- Create elegant and refined visual user experiences through site maps, high fidelity mockups, wireframes, and interaction flows
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various team members and clients
- Ability to communicate and translate abstract concepts to audiences that are not adept in the user experience discipline
- Experience with user-centered design patterns and methodologies
- An eye for design in general; and more important, understand key principles of information design
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- 3-5 years experience
Projects range from large content-channel site redesigns with +7 million unique users to early stage retail and social start-ups. The design studios include experienced, smart, savvy and motivated designers who are interested in working with similarly minded people. We’re also interested in developing long term relationships with independent UX designers for future projects. Young, less experienced designers are also encouraged to reach out if you’re interested in a mentor-apprentice relationship while working on exciting projects.
