[job] 3 month contract – Graphic Analyst UN Women

Fund for Gender Equality

Graphic Analyst

The Fund for Gender Equality is a $68 million, multi-donor initiative designed to advance innovative, high-
impact programmes that focus on women’s economic and political empowerment at local and national
levels, in line with national development plans and priorities. Launched in December 2008 with an initial
contribution of EUR 50 million (US$65 million) from the Government of Spain, and subsequently joined
by the government of Norway, the Fund provides grants on a competitive basis to civil society and
governmental agencies in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, the Arab States, Latin America and the Caribbean,
Central and Eastern Europe, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Up to date, the Fund has
provided grants to 27 Catalytic grantees projects and 13 Implementation grant initiatives.

As part of a broader Knowledge Management and Communications strategy to collect, analyze and
share knowledge about FGE and our grantees, the Fund would like to commission the creation of three
factsheets. Specifically the factsheets should use text and visual elements to clearly and creatively
highlight the work of the Fund and of our grantees. The themes of the three factsheets are as follows: 1)
FGEs Grantmaking Program; 2) Overview of 2009-2010 Grantees; 3) In-depth case study of a specific
grantmaking theme (TBD).
