iPhone app UI Designer

GoldRun – Greater New York City Area

Job Description

GoldRun is looking for an experienced UI designer to work on the next version of our augmented reality iPhone application, scheduled to launch July 2011. This is a freelance position and the fee will be negotiated as a flat project rate. We will ask each considered applicant to submit 2-3 screen designs (we’ll pay a nominal fee) before awarding the entire project.

NOTE: We are in the process of creating a new visual identity for our brand, which will inform the design direction for the app.

As UI Designer, you’ll work closely with our UX developer to synthesize the user experience requirements and create an elegant UI system to support the needs of the users. You’ll help create detailed wireframes (most will come from UX developer) that provide the framework for visual design and inform the technical plans of the UI.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in designing logical information architecture
• Assist in creating and finalizing the detailed wireframes of the entire UI
• Create detailed design files
• Proactively identify and address risks

Requirements:
• Experience creating interactive apps and mobile apps specifically
• Experience working with Apple iOS guidelines and understand its importance
• Experience working with a wireframe-to-design process
• Amazing visual aesthetic
