Position Summary
At Disney Online Boulder Studios, you’ll lead a team dedicated to developing best-of-class iPad apps for kids, apps that enable them to imagine, create, and publish their own content. You will leverage the power of technology and the Disney brand to deliver new and enriching experiences that will be enjoyed by millions of kids. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and realization of the complete user experience, as part of a fast-moving, dynamic team of engineers working side by side with artistic and business functions. Our development cycle is rapid, iterative, and collaborative. The successful candidate will be someone who flourishes in such an environment and seeks to raise the bar for inspired interactive products for kids, collaborating with talented colleagues that share these goals.

Responsibilities
Inspire a highly motivated and talented team of engineers through effective, direct leadership
Identify, recruit, develop and retain top talent
Create world-class production software, both in terms of quality and design, including personal authorship
iOS App and other Mobile product design and project management
Lead the rapid creation of software prototypes
Lead software re-factorizations for improved capabilities, extensibility and maintainability
Lead software optimization for code size, performance, memory footprint

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, or related degree
10+ years design experience, and 4+ years of management experience
Required: Specific experience with Objective C, iOS, C++, and/or ActionScript, or the ability to quickly come up to speed on these languages and technologies.
2+ years of iOS development in Objective-C, and 6+ years of experience with Objective-C, C++, or similar object oriented language; experience with web-enabled application development
Experience leading and managing projects in the mobile software space

Knowledge of, and interest in, Mobile and Internet technology trends
