The Colbert Report is looking for an intern! Someone who is
well-versed in JavaScript (jQuery), CSS, and HTML, and can dedicate
about 15 hours a week would be ideal. You’d be working on a
unique web app that will be used daily for the show, so it’s
challenging, rewarding, and you’ll learn a lot. Because it’s an
internal product, it’s like doing a nice front-end development
workout! You really get a chance to flex your web dev muscles, since
you don’t have to spend time guessing what users want, cross-browser
testing, and cursing at IE.
The people there are super friendly and nice. Rob (one of the writers
whom you’d be reporting to) is familiar with ITP, so he’s flexible and
understanding of midterms, finals, and omg-my-project-is-due-tomorrow-i-better-start-now panics.
