[JOB] XBee Network Consulting Job

I am a PhD student constructing a small-scale wireless sensor network (Xbee-Arduino based) that will make measurements necessary for a larger research project. For this purpose, I’m creating a network that is fully independent (i.e., microcontroller-based, and without computer supervision) as well as dynamic (variable number and types of sensor nodes).
I am still in the process of building this WSN, using a combination of Arduino boards and the xbee-arduino library by Andrew Rapp, much of the setup inspired by the design in the book “Building Wireless Sensor Networks”.
The problem: Taking things to the next level using the API mode on the Xbees has brought up some programming hurdles (I am a physics student, hence have limited programming experience!). The remaining steps to complete are probably not too difficult: Adding some functions beyond the original xbee-arduino library, in order to detect awake vs. asleep nodes, to array-organize the measured data coming simultaneously from multiple sensors, etc.
I am looking for an individual or two with experience programming Xbees/Arduinos, with whom I could collaborate on the coding side of things for the sensor-network in this research project.
I will be more than happy to pay them a reasonable compensation for their role in the project, as well as credit them in my thesis/publications, plus I expect this will be a fun, and not too involved, project for them. It will be a short project (maybe lasting a couple of weeks, primarily via online collaboration).
Look forward to hearing from interested individuals! You may also contact me directly at anilyala@gmail.com
