[JOB] Information Management and Web Design Assistant at the UN

The job involves working on the UN Peacekeeping intranet (called POINT) and  working on graphic design and development for the UN Peacekeeping website (www.un.org/peacekeeping).  The job is based at UN Headquarters in New York (44th Street and 1st Avenue).

The job posting describes all the required skills – but some of them include:

  • web design
  • graphic design
  • usability, user experience
  • HTML/CSS (HTML 5/CSS3)
  • ASP/MSSQL
  • JavaScript
  • Photoshop and Dreamweaver

The education and experience requirements:

  • Work experience: Several years of progressively responsible experience in the field of web design, social media and information management; (we will accept two years).
  • Education: High school or equivalent diploma, or other supplemental academic qualifications, or training in a UN field mission;
  • Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English.
