The Institute of African American Affairs (IAAA) at New York University was founded in 1969 to research, document, and celebrate the cultural and intellectual production of Africa and its diaspora in the Atlantic world and beyond. As such, we’re looking for an experienced web designer/developer who could handle a complete redesign of our website (from soup to nuts) to help share our ongoing work in a more meaningful and engaging way. In addition, a related second website is required for our online journal – Black Renaissance Noire. The ideal candidate would interface with the NYU Web Communications department to understand technical and visual style constraints and should have a solid understanding of web standards and scripting languages (including PHP and MySQL).
