Internships will begin in early February and will run through the spring semester. Interns may earn credit, as applicable. Interns are expected to work 15 hours per week. Ideal candidates will be able to stay organized and listen to instructions, interested in waste issues (especially electronic waste issues), and excited about local reuse. Being technologically savvy is a plus.
Beyond that, the experience would provide access to an enormous amount of electronics that would make for an amazing source of materials for ITP-minded projects. I am particularly interested in having someone who is savvy with computer software and hardware (mac/pc) to help me with some of our component harvesting and refurbishing ambitions.
Send your cover letter and resume by February 1, 2012 to info@lesecologycenter.org with the subject line “Warehouse Internship”.
