Senior Web UI UX Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Web UI / UX Engineer to refine, evolve and innovate new features for our next generation e-learning product. This position will collaborate with our product team and education staff to implement new site designs, user flows, and user experiences and will be responsible for coding, maintaining and evolving the DimensionU brand on our web platform.
Responsibilities:
- Shape our web and mobile technology innovation as we continuously improve our platform.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of new features.
- Create new applications which leverage our core infrastructure in new and exciting ways
- Incorporate a strong portfolio of UI/UX best practices.
- Write elegant, maintainable, and extensible code in a team environment.
Experience/Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Expert knowledge of modern standards-based HTML and CSS
- Experience with major javascript library frameworks such as YUI, JQuery, MochiKit, etc
- Experience with AJAX / JSON / Web services models
- Experience with web frameworks such as ASP.NET / JSP / JSTL / Struts / PHP
- Understanding of OOP / OOD techniques
- Experience in addressing cross-browser compatibility issues
- Experience with version control systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer science background or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with the educational software a plus
- Familiarity with HTML5 / mobile development a plus
