Description of Role:
In conjunction with the Production Director, manage and coordinate all aspects of website development from inception through launch to ensure deadline and goals have been successfully accomplished. Work closely with marketing, creative, customer service, engineering and third parties to achieve overall project objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate large-scale web projects with a heavy focus on user experience and creative.
- Liaise with and manage marketing, creative, customer service, engineering and third parties to ensure project goals are met including business, technical, creative and content requirements and provide project guardianship, ensuring that all work is checked against and in alignment with those requirements.
- Determine external vendor needs, review contracts, and oversee vendor execution.
- Help implement and maintain a project plan that identifies key milestones, project dependencies, project resources and manage the execution of that plan.
- Ensure that the project team is notified promptly of any potential change in project scope and expected deliverables.
- Coordinate weekly meetings with team and disseminate information from those meetings through established communication protocols.
- Ensure consistency of work, punctuality of deliverables and overall adherence to strategy.
Requirements:
- Position requires minimum of 4+ years project management experience.
- At least 5+ years of online web development.
- Proven track record of managing cross platform website projects (desktop, tablet, mobile) with large groups of distributed stakeholders and project team members
- Strong knowledge of all phases of web development from concept to information architecture to design, development, and QA
- Working knowledge of web technologies.
- An ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and influence across groups.
- Pro-active problem solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment a must.
- Experience managing creative projects
