NBCUniversal’s Operations and Technical Services (O&TS) team helps make it happen.

The industry’s best-in-class technology and operations center, O&TS, supports NBCUniversal’s portfolio

of broadcast, cable, and film businesses. O&TS includes domestic television production operations,

Universal Studio operations, global technical operations, information technology, and media products &

advanced technologies.

The NBCUniversal Operations & Technical Services Internship Program is a ten-week paid summer

program where students see firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the

As an intern with NBCUniversal O&TS, you will:

Begin your internship with a 3-day immersion class that introduces you to O&TS.

Be placed on an assignment (based on your skillset and interest), which provides you with hands-

on experience.

Lead a challenging real-world project from start to finish, allowing you to apply your classroom

knowledge to practical situations.

Create and deliver a presentation to senior management.

Be paired with a leader in the organization as your mentor: coaching and guiding you in your

professional learning and development.

Gain the skills and network to have an advantage during the application process to entry-level

positions within the O&TS organization after graduation.

Internship opportunities are in the following areas:

ArtWorks – Broadcast design support for NBC News, Sports, East Coast Entertainment, MSNBC, CNBC,
Local Media stations and Telemundo stations

Broadcast Operations – Preparation, origination and delivery of media assets across broadcast and
digital platforms.

Media Products & Advanced Technologies – Coordinates product strategy, development, design and
technical architecture for critical O&TS systems, as well as driving technology research and development
in business critical areas.

Engineering – Broadcast On-Air Engineering: Innovates, integrates and supports the systems that enable
NBCUniversal’s production and newsroom operations.

SAP – With an increasing company reliance on the SAP systems, the SAP Center of Excellence utilizes
technical expertise to integrate and support the growing number of SAP modules used throughout the
company. As the usage of SAP grows, the company relies on SAP technologists to develop processes and
build and test the modules to meet the business needs.

IT Operations Center – The technology backbone of NBCUniversal. Enhances business services, drives
technology innovation, preserves and enhances our core business.

West Coast Operations – Studio technical operations, staging, maintenance, tape operations and
archival services. Special effects, scenic paint and set construction.

Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
• Prior work experience required
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to secure housing and transportation
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) program pursuing a related technical
or media field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Media Technology,
Communications Technology, Graphic Technology, Computer Engineering, Broadcast
Engineering)
• Must have a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 cumulatively
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
