Job Description:
We’re looking for a product-design intern or extern who will be involved in every aspect of the development of a mobile-app, consumer-communication platform. Product designers for easi6, Inc., work remotely with our engineering team in South Korea on a regular basis, as well as interact daily with our executive team in Jersey City, NJ. This position is project specific and will necessitate that a successful candidate be comfortable working independently and as part of a team; value originality and creativity; and not be afraid to take chances with their artistic license, while maintaining a willingness to compromise.
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Translate requirements into concepts and engaging designs.
-Create interaction models, user task flows, and screen designs, including customized UI protocols and exciting color/layout and typography schemes.
-Manage and maintain graphic files electronically (logos, icons, photos, and artwork).
-Collaborate with other designers and with programming/engineering staff.
-Develop and maintain design mockups and specifications.
Qualifications:
-Passion for creativity and originality, including artistic risk-taking.
-Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
-Experience with consumer-facing mobile application interfaces.
-Professional skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and familiarity with wire-framing tools such as InDesign, OmniGraffle, or Keynote.
-Basic skills in Basic, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JS, FBML, WordPress, and Flash
-Knowledge of prototyping methodologies and best practices.
-Familiarity with a variety of location-based, social media services (facebook, Twitter, foursquare, Google+)
-Language proficiency in either English or Korean (Able to sponsor non-immigrant H1-
B visa).
Plus
-Intermediate proficiency in video editing (Quicktime, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
