[JOB] Part-time Interactive Technology Project Coordinator, NYU Student Health Center

The NYU Student Health Center is seeking a part-time Interactive Technology Project Coordinator to
help support the development and implementation of a new high profile university-wide, community
health and wellness initiative. LiveWellNYU combines an evidence-based public health approach
with innovative engagement strategies that will help students stay healthy. LiveWellNYU seeks to
increase engagement in preventive health while empowering students to become active partners in their
personal well-being. A key component of this initiative will be the development and implementation of
a technology portfolio of interactive platforms, social media, and tools to engage students around ten
priority areas. Areas of focus include health literacy; stress; sleep; alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs;
mental health/depression; sexual health; physical activity; nutrition; healthy personal relationships; and a
safe and healthy campus community.

Working with an interdisciplinary team of medical, public health, ITS, marketing, film, and higher ed/
student life professionals and interns, the Interactive Technology Project Coordinator will oversee the
development of innovative technology solutions to support LiveWellNYU. Solutions will involve a
multidimensional approach targeting individuals, communities, and the physical University environment.
Examples of projects may include creating and managing novel communication tools, facilitating
community environments, physical design challenges to incorporate health and wellness into the
university’s physical infrastructure, developing self-care/self-tracking tools, and/or implementing a
framework for program data collection and utilization.

The possibilities are endless; this position will lead the project team with strategic recommendations for
creative engagement strategies, project planning/management, resource allocation, and implementation
of interactive technology projects. There may be opportunities to support individual student research
projects.

The position involves 15-20 hours of work per week (depending on student availability) at a rate of $15-
$25 per hour throughout the academic year. Applicants must be current NYU students, and federal work-
