[JOB] PR + Social Media Director, Little Duck Organics

Little Duck Organics is a Brooklyn based company born out of founder Zak Normandin’s desire to find organic, no-sugar added snacks for his 3 young children. In 2010, LDO became a reality, growing from a single-man operation in his basement to a burgeoning company with vibrant products sold in thousands of stores nationwide. Little Duck products are available at Whole Foods Market, Earth Fare, Hannaford, Fairway Market, Sweetbay, Central Market, Stop & Shop,, and 4000+ fine retailers nationwide.
Job Specifications
– Pitching to and managing relationships with long-lead, short-lead print, online and television media outlets.
– Actively participating in content development for social media accounts: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr.
– Proactively researching opportunities that will increase Little Duck Organics’ visibility.
– Creating initiatives to increase exposure to Little Duck Organics Brand through press.
– Interacting and building relationships with influential personalities for media partnership opportunities.
– Working closely with Director of Outreach to ensure media partnership and out out-of-store events align with greater mission of the brand
– Seek out relevant and engaging presentation opportunities for CEO.
– Writing press releases pertaining to current and upcoming product launches, business initiatives, events, trade shows etc.
– Reporting weekly market and relevant trends to the Little Duck Organics team.
– Managing daily tasks for social media intern:
content research
assisting with writing skills
development of internship specific project for LDO
send outs and follow-up
Background & Experience
– Must have agency related PR experience
– Plus experiencing managing a brand across all social media platforms
