infrastructure engineer
Codecademy is looking for an infrastructure engineer who is passionate about building scalable systems and wants to take ownership of building and maintaining our rapidly expanding server architecture.
We are most interested in your skills and personality, but a CS background is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Harden and expand Codecademy’s server architecture
Monitor and improve site performance, stability, and security
Build tools to ease infrastructure provisioning and scaling
Continuously extend and improve infrastructure components to handle growth
Troubleshoot system failures
Requirements:
Experience with cloud services, especially Amazon’s AWS
Knowledge of system monitoring tools
Comfortable with shell scripting to tie together UNIX tools and system monitoring utilities
Appreciation for continuous deployment and continuous integration
