The Database Associate is responsible for providing support for the research database at L2 Think Tank. This position will be involved in maintaining and enhancing the existing system. The Associate will consult with the research staff to to insure that the software is performing as expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Director of Research and collaborates with the L2 database consultants
- Responsible for the support and development of FileMaker 12.x-based solutions used within the organization
- Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve technical and architectural issues with existing operations solutions
- Assess and interpret staff needs, their business processes & requirements and translate them into project requirements
- Understand and provide application support
- Provide explanations and training to L2 staff as required
- Interface with additional internal or external application developers on related projects
- Provide administrative support of hosted Filemaker databases
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience with Filemaker
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with Mac OS X
- Certification in FileMaker Pro 9 or above highly desirable
- Experience with MySQL and PHP a definite plus
