SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: 4-year Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience

• 5 years of experience developing web application in CMS workflow-based environment

 

Technical:

• Strong skills in a general purpose programming language such as C, C++, Java, C#, Ruby, Python, or the like

• Demonstrated experience with Web 2.0 technologies and frameworks – HTML5/CSS3/Javascript – jQuery, Ajax, JSON, XML

• Solid understanding of MVC, OOP and strong familiarity with principles of relational databases

• Experience accessing APIs of external systems or social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

• Familiarity with e-commerce concepts and implementation

• Basic Ruby on Rails knowledge

 

Non-technical:

• Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills

• Strong sense of ownership, urgency and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-profile environment

• Ability to mentor other developers

 

NICE TO HAVE:

• Expertise in Ruby on Rails

• Experience with Magento e-commerce platform

• Experience with WordPress, RefineryCMS, Drupal, Tumblr, and Cloud-based applications and services

• Objective-C, ActionsScript 3, iOS and Android development skills are also welcomed
