Job Description
We’re a neighborhood social start up looking for an outstanding Interaction Designer with experience in designing social websites and/or applications.
Responsibilities:
— Help to define the user interface for new and existing products and features.
— Develop high level and/or detailed mockups and designs.
— Build interactive prototypes.
— Assess the usability of new and existing products and features.
— Conduct and moderate usability tests.
Qualifications:
— BA/BS in HCI, Interaction Design, HCI, Product Design, Information Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science or related field; or two years of equivalent work experience.
— Two years of experience designing consumer-focused web and/or mobile websites.
— Strong CSS and HTML skills; solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Fireworks.
— Strong portfolio showcasing skills in core design and UX principles.
— Solid understanding of layout, typography, color and other design principles.
— Strong track record communicating design rationale and conceptual ideas.
— Intimate knowledge of emerging technologies, applications across social platforms and mobile devices.
