• As part of the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Investment Products and Services group, the User Experience Designer is responsible for, under the guidance of the Lead UX Designer, creating the user experience for web, desktop, and mobile applications across the firm that support the needs of our clients and financial advisors. Key platforms supported by our team include:
• 3D desktop: a robust data- and transaction-oriented desktop application that supports all aspects of client management and branch operations
• 3D Mobile: a iPad optimized app for viewing client financial data
• 3D Resources: an internal content portal used by the entire firm
• Center for Investment Excellence: a research and partnership portal
• Morgan Stanley Online: an online investment and banking application for our wealth management clients
• Morgan Stanley Online for mobile devices (iPhone, Android, iPad)
• Various social initiatives, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
• Financial Advisor marketing websitesSkills Required
Experience:
5-7 years of industry experience in a well-established user experience design role with emphasis on user interface and interaction design for complex, data-driven websites, desktop applications, and mobile apps. Financial services experience a plus.Skills/Abilities:
Ability to develop the information architecture and user experience of a new application system for financial advisors:
– Create wireframes, navigation models, interaction patterns, workflows and usability guidelines
– Conduct UX quality assurance and user acceptance testing
– Participate in usability testing sessions with stakeholders and end users
– Collaborate closely with business and technology partners throughout the organization (e.g., platform strategy leads, business leads, marketing, technology, endusers)
– Ability to guide and manage UX consultants on projects
– Impeccable standards of delivery for him/herself
– Experience in: Microsoft Office and standard UX design tools (Visio, Axure)
– Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work on projects and tasks simultaneously and meet all deadlines
