The Toolbox project is just beginning on a long-term journey to build an app store for activists. Imagine when Hurricane Sandy hit, being able to see who is deploying what tools for volunteering, crisis mapping, food distribution, etc in your social grid and geographic area. Our initial front-end developer created the early designs and the development of our site, available at http://thetoolbox.org/ .
Project details: Populate a database with content for the Toolbox. There are really exciting projects and applications out there and we need to aggregate them effectively and then add interesting stories: How they were used, where they were, who liked how it was, who disliked it, etc.”
