Part-time Multimedia Teacher
Vision Education & Media (VEM) is looking for engaging, enthusiastic teachers to work 2-3 days a week in our after-school programs for PK-8th graders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our clubs are generally 2 hours and take place between 2-6pm.
Our cutting edge use of technology allows students to create projects that are personally meaningful to them, from building and programming LEGO® robots to designing video games and stop motion animations. Learning happens in a way that focuses on the passion and interest of our students, while addressing many academic content areas. Most importantly, our clubs are fun for our students!
We welcome experienced educators who may not be familiar with the particular technologies we use, provided they are eager to learn and passionate about technology education. Paid training in the technology we use is provided.Interested applicants should be tech-savvy, creative individuals who have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience (including experience in non-traditional environments like camp) and a proven ability to effectively manage a class. Regular communication about the programs between instructors and managers is expected. Our instructors are compensated at competitive rates.Qualified candidates should email their resume and a cover letter indicating what days they are available to careers@vemny.org with Part-Time Teacher in the subject. VEM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
