CUTLOG NY VIDEO PROGRAM

After four successful years in Paris, cutlog invites all video artists and producers of moving images to participate in the 1st New York edition of the art fair from May 10-13, 2013.

LOCATION

Each day, the auditorium at the Clemente Soto Veléz Cultural Center, a former public school in New York’s Lower East Side, will screen videos as well as host performances, workshops and discussions. After sundown in the 10,000 sq ft courtyard, videos will be projected on two monumental screens, provided by Rooftop Films.

OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Submitted videos can be of any duration and any genre (from animation to narrative features to music videos). While there are no thematic restrictions, submissions relating to the following theme are encouraged: Translating Urbanité.

AFTER HOURS:  OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS

At the end of each night, emerging artists will have the chance to use cutlog’s outdoor screens to produce new work. With each project granted 1-2 hours, this short-term residency/open studio/performance seeks to support multidisciplinary, site-specific proposals. Please note that while cutlog will provide access to a 20 ft airscreen, a 10 ft fast fold screen and technical assistance, the artists a re r esponsible for any additional costs.
