VOA is offering an internship in its New York City bureau at 26 Federal Plaza.
Our bureau daily produces television and radio news stories, stories placed on our Website, live television interviews in our bureau studios and both radio and tv interviews produced in our United Nations office. Our bureau is part of the worldwide service that is underwritten by the federal government. Voice of America reaches approximately 150 million viewers, listeners, and internet users each week. VOA provides news to 85 countries in 43 languages.
We are looking for a person who is interested in learning about newsgathering, the equipment used, studio production and web-based production.
We are interested in a person who is inquisitive and understands the value of research that will enable us to tell a complete, interesting, story.
We are interested in an intern who can work with our reporters in developing a significant number of stories for the web.
This intern should have an understanding of business and aid staff in visualizing important business stories utilizing graphics for the web.
