[JOB] [NIME community] Three openings in Porto in Media Arts and Technologies

Dear colleagues,

The Sound and Music Computing group and Telecommunications and
Multimedia Unit at INESC Porto, and the Digital Arts Group at CITAR
are happy to announce 3 research openings (2 post-doc level, 1 senior
researcher level) in the context of the research program “MAT – Media
Arts and Technologies” (http://smc.inescporto.pt/mat/), in Porto,
Portugal.
Applications are welcome starting immediately, with a final deadline
on 20th December 2013. The position will be filled *as soon as
possible*.

(1) A post-doc research fellowship
To work in the Sound and Music Computing group at INESC Porto on the
general topic of “Interaction with Music Information”
Duration: 12 months, extensible until 30th June 2015
Salary: 17.940€ per year (this is the *net* amount, i.e. it is *not*
subjected to tax nor deductions)

(2) A post-doc research fellowship
To work in the Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit at INESC Porto
on the general topic of “Social TV”
Duration: 12 months, extensible until 30th June 2015
Salary: 17.940€ per year  (this is the *net* amount, i.e. it is *not*
subjected to tax nor deductions)

(3) A senior research contract
To work at the Digital Arts Group at CITAR on the general topic of
“Interaction with Music Information”
Duration: 12 months, extensible until 30th June 2015
Salary: 41.035€ per year (this is the *gross* amount, i.e. it is
subjected to legal taxes and deductions)

We are seeking applicants with a research and publication track record
in either:
– Human-Computer Interaction
– Music Information Retrieval
– Music Technology
– Recommender systems
– Emerging paradigms for TV services

The successful applicants are expected to contribute to one or several
of the following research lines:
– Computational music description
– Interactive music systems and procedural music generation
– Natural user interfaces (NUI, TUI, NIME, …)
– Personalized content recommendation
– Personalized content creation/management/adaptation
– Social, Connected, Participatory and Interactive audiovisual services

The successful applicants will integrate an international research
team and will also have opportunity to collaborate on several funded
research projects, together with a number of international partners.

All three positions are full-time, fixed-term, starting as soon as possible.
