Assistant/Associate Professor, Digital + MediaThe Graduate Department of Digital + Media, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a colleague of emerging or established international stature to join its faculty, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with appointment to begin fall 2016.

Now entering its second decade, Digital + Media (D+M) investigates the creative potentials and social implications of emerging technologies and cultural practices. Its research-oriented MFA program pushes the limits of art and design, mentoring students to become critical thinkers and artistic innovators.

Established in 2003, the Department of Digital + Media offers a selective MFA program for students with diverse research interests seeking an open environment for exploration in the realms of art, science, technology, and society. S/he will enhance D+M’s capacity as a research incubator and creative forum, advancing the program’s profile for artistic and technological innovation grounded in critical thinking and social engagement.
